Hello and welcome!
I’m so excited to be officially starting this blog to document my study abroad to Klaipeda, Lithuania! Although it seems like a long ways away, I know it’ll approach quickly and I’ll be there and back again before I know it.
Now, if you’re new to my old blogging lifestyle, here are a few things you should know:
My name is Kate.
I’m a senior at George Fox University as an International Studies major.
Traveling and writing are two of my greatest passions (hence… a travel blog).
Dual-citizenship is rad.
Over the course of ten years, I have lived in Canada (12 years), France (six weeks), Bosnia-Herzegovina (ten months), and now, LITHUANIA.
Side note: I have another blog with my Bosnian travels if you really want to know what kind of person I was as a senior in high school.
For those who aren’t sure, here is a map of where Klaipeda, Lithuania is:
ignore the really bad outlining
This blog will be an account of all my triumphs, trials, and all the awkward in-betweens of my life in Klaipeda, Lithuania. I’ll be doing my internship as an RA for LCC International’s Summer Language Institute (SLI) during the month of July and then will start my Fall semester in late August, with hopeful trips to Bosnia, France, and England, as well as school excursions to Latvia, Estonia, and Russia! I hope you enjoy reading as much I enjoy writing!
Anyway, I better get back to doing homework.
Until flights are confirmed and bags are packed,
– Kate
